The 9.5 hp Birel go-karts are designed to give a very close experience to the professional karts raced by pro-karters around the world.
Designed with side, front and rear impact zones, it’s very safe as you push to the limit. These are the fastest outdoor rental go-karts in PA. You can also check out the track that the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix held the "Historic" races the previous weekend! |
Jump off of your couch and get into the driver's seat of one of theirr fast 9.5 hp rental go-karts. Ever wondered how the pros feel? This is your chance to get the same adrenaline rush.
When you get there just sign an insurance waiver, receive a driver briefing, strap on a helmet and race against other Fiat Club drivers while being scored by the computerized timing system. |
PVGP Countryside Tour
08:00am - 02:30pm
|
If Karting isn't your cup of tea and DRIVING your classic sports car is your main passion, the PVGP invites Fiat Club members to join them for the 2015 edition of Countryside Tour. Conceived and created for classic sports & GT cars (it IS a part of Vintage Grand Prix, after all!), the tour will depart from the lovely and historic Century Inn in Scenery Hill, PA at 8:00 AM and depart at 9:00 AM, and follow a delightful collection of scenic, twisting, lightly-traveled back roads through Pennsylvania’s beautiful Laurel Highlands. Travelling in groups of three or four cars only, to enhance both safety and the driving experience, we will work up a good thirst and an appetite, which will be slaked during our visit to Countryside Tour sponsor The Coventry Inn in lovely Indiana, PA. Innkeeper Charles Runyan and his capable staff do a wonderful job for us, each year, in making this a high-point of the Tour.
Following lunch at The Coventry Inn, Tour participants can depart for Pittsburgh at approximately 2:30 PM. You can also enjoy a self-guided tour of actor Jimmy Stewart’s home town, before heading back to the Pittsburgh area Registration is $75.00 and includes both morning & afternoon tour segments, as well as lunch and refreshments at The Coventry Inn. For dinner, at The Century Inn, you will need to call the Inn and make your own reservations. Tell them you are part of Countryside Tour, so that they can plan seating, together, for all of us. FCA Midnight Drive
- This is a preregistered event for Fiat Club of America members only.
Departing from the Hard Rock and traversing up Sycamore Avenue the tour stops near the Monogahela incline and the 'mushroom' shaped viewing spots and then moves along Grandview Avenue for the next stop at the Duquesne Incline and Museum. It a great tour of the cityscape of Pittsburgh.
A MUST DO Stop at the Duquesne Incline, voted 1 of the Top 10 sites for viewing a cityscape in the world by USA Today, is on the agenda! Since 1877, this funicular railway has served the residents and businesses of the Duquesne Heights and Mount Washington sections of Pittsburgh. From the cars there are great view out over the city. Utilizing two original 1877 cable cars, the Duquesne Incline is a working museum, with the upper station providing photos and displays on the history of the incline. Visitors can also see the inner workings of the incline. The Duquesne and Monongahela Inclines, are the oldest continuous inclines in the world. Be sure to ask to see the wooden gears that still drive the cars!
